Job summary

Network 20/20 in New York is seeking a Communication and Social Media Intern for Spring 2021. The role focuses on growing the audience on our website and social channels, and implementing strategic communication objectives throughout the internship term.

The internship runs January to mid-May, requires three days per week, and includes a provided stipend. You will work with the team on programs, outreach, and campaigns, and gain hands-on experience in communications for foreign policy content.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
• Familiar with design programs or video editing software (Canva, Photoshop, iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro).
• Experience with WordPress, HTML design, Google Analytics, and Google Ads is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing strategic objectives to enhance social media presence and online engagement.
• Maintain and run advertising campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube with content on foreign policy.
• Update Network 20/20’s website by posting content from speakers and programs.
• Develop and produce marketing and promotional materials.
• Assist staff in promoting events through posts and strategic boosting.
• Learn and actively engage with Network 20/20's mission and programs.
• Perform various administrative tasks related to communications as needed.
