Job summary

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation is seeking a Social Media Manager to lead systemwide social strategy and content development onsite at the Grand Rapids Campus. You will mentor a growing team, collaborate with writers and designers, and translate performance data into actionable content decisions to strengthen engagement across platforms.

You will guide the editorial calendar, optimize campaigns, and ensure brand voice and accessibility standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years in social media and digital content space.
• 3–5 years leading and developing teams with social media expertise.
• Experience developing and leading social media strategy for a brand or organization.
• Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling for social content.
• Strong portfolio with social content, campaigns and metrics.
• Experience using social analytics to guide strategy and content decisions.
• Advanced knowledge of major social platforms and trends.
• Experience with social media management and listening tools.

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads systemwide organic social media strategy aligned with priorities.
• Manages and mentors a team creating, editing, producing and publishing content.
• Defines channel strategies, audiences, objectives and content approaches across platforms.
• Owns social media measurement, KPIs and benchmarks for channels and campaigns.
• Manages social editorial calendar balancing campaigns and evergreen content.
• Translates performance data into actionable recommendations for strategy and content.
• Collaborates with writers, designers, photographers, videographers and strategists.
• Identifies trends and opportunities to strengthen social presence and engagement.
• Leads hands-on content development from concept through publication.
