Job summary

California State University, Chico is seeking a Social Media Strategist to develop and implement organic social media strategies that amplify the university's brand and support marketing, communications, and visibility goals.

You will manage the university’s social channels, plan content, engage audiences, analyze performance, and provide direction and training to student staff while collaborating with campus content creators.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience.
• An advanced degree in a related field may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements organic social media strategies to support Chico State’s brand and visibility goals.
• Manages the University’s social media presence, including content planning, audience engagement, content development, and performance analysis.
• Provides lead work direction and training to student employees and collaborates with campus social media managers and content creators.
