What We Need:
We are looking for a full time, Los Angeles based Social Media Strategist/Content Creator for The Candidly. This role will support our Editor-In-Chief in the fast-paced environment of a scrappy start-up.
You’re organized, insanely detail-oriented, you’re probably funny, and likely either a fully Type A personality or close to it. You’re a self-starter, take initiative on projects/tasks, and are something of a culture hound and a content nerd. You are equal parts creative and strategist, and love working with other wildly motivated and excellence-driven comrades. You might also worship Fleabag, but it’s not technically a requirement. In this role, you will help implement the social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and our newsletter, all of which will appeal to, and often thrill, our Gen X demographic. You will manage all social media accounts, create and edit deeply compelling content, and analyze performance metrics to optimize all campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
• Content Creation: Develop, create and curate engaging photo and video content for various social media platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, Newsletter
•Graphic Design: Instagram story creation, newsletter design and deployment, with strategic best practices for maximum effectiveness
•Paid Marketing Content Creation: Work with the paid team to create highly clickable content that converts
•Daily Posting: Manually post and monitor all content across all platforms
• Community Management: Monitor, respond to, and engage with followers, fostering a positive online community.
• Analytics and Reporting: Analyze social media metrics and prepare reports on campaign performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
• Trend Monitoring: Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activities, adjusting strategies as necessary.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the team to integrate social media efforts with overall marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role.
•Video capture and editing expertise with full knowledge of Instagram Reels best practices
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
•Superb critical thinker and problem solver. Like, superb
• Excellent writing, editing, communication, and spelling skills.
• Experience with analytics tools.
• Ability to generate engaging, strategic content that grows brands and audiences
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
•Lighting and video capture and editing tools
Required Skills:
• Knowledge of SEO and content marketing strategies
•Working knowledge of Planoly, Link my Photos, CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite
•Full understanding of Instagram reels, best practices regarding boosting posts, trending music limitations, and understand both the strategy side and creative side
Salary: The salary range for this position is between $75,000-$95,000 depending on experience
