Starlight Children’s Foundation delivers happiness to seriously ill children and their families. Replacing the pain, fear, and stress experienced through hospitalization with programs that bring fun, joy, and comfort. Since 1982, Starlight programs have brought smiles to more than 21 million hospitalized kids by helping them heal faster. Starlight supports seriously ill kids and their families at more than 700 children’s hospitals across the US by distributing programs like Starlight Gaming, Gowns, and Toy Deliveries.

Overview

Starlight is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented independent contractor to support our Stream For Starlight campaigns on a remote basis. As a contractor, you will work with Starlight for a specific project or timeframe to identify, engage, and document potential streamers for various campaigns. This assignment includes comprehensive lead generation, vetting, outreach, and meticulous record-keeping to ensure all leads meet the specified criteria. You will handle outreach through conversion before transferring the relationship to Starlight staff for further management.

This contract does not create an employment relationship between the contractor and Starlight. The contractor is an independent business entity responsible for their own taxes, benefits, and compliance with applicable laws.

Scope of Work:

• Independently identify and acquire new streamer leads for all Stream For Starlight campaigns
• Verify leads are not already present in Starlight’s existing contact list
• Provide leads and contact information to Starlight staff
• Engage leads through the conversion lifecycle. Confirm their interest, get them to sign up using the TFA Form, and transfer them to the Stream For Starlight Team
• Independently document interactions with potential leads, manage chat, and answer questions
• Contractor determines their own work schedule and methods, provided all required deliverables are met within the agreed timeframe
  
  

Project Timeline:

• Services begin on the date this agreement is signed and end one week prior to the start of the campaign
• There is no guarantee of additional work beyond this contract
  
  

Verified Lead Criteria:

• Have a minimum of 500 followers
• Be based in the United States, part of a US-based team, or have a US-based community
• Provide at least one form of contact, such as an email or Discord Server invite
• Demonstrated sustainability for a charity stream, based on professional judgment (avoiding streamers that are NSFW, use hate speech, etc.)
  
  

Contractual Obligations:

• The contractor operates as an independent business and is responsible for all applicable taxes, insurance, and legal compliance
• The contractor is responsible for providing and maintaining their own tools, equipment, and computer hardware/software
• The contractor retains the right to perform similar services for other clients
• Starlight will not provide training, supervision, or control over how the contractor performs their work, only requiring that deliverables meet agreed-upon criteria
• The contractor bears the risk of profit or loss based on the effectiveness of their lead generation
  
  

Compensation & Payment Terms:

• $2 per verified lead that meets the Verified Lead Criteria.Payment of $2 per new lead will be eligible once contact information is forwarded to the Event Team
• 10% stipend for any funds raised by leads during their first-ever fundraiser for Starlight.The 10% stipend will apply only to funds raised during the lead’s first fundraising campaign with Starlight.Stipends will be paid out in the month following the conclusion of the campaign to which the bonus applies
• Leads must be vetted and confirmed as individuals or groups who have not previously fundraised for Starlight
• Invoices must be submitted no more frequently than monthly or in one installment at the end of the contract.Payment is due within 30 calendar days of receiving the contractor’s invoice.No advance payments are allowed
• The contractor is not entitled to benefits, unemployment insurance, workers' compensation, or any other rights or protections afforded to employees
