Job summary

Tanium is seeking a Social Media Manager to lead and execute the company’s social media presence. You will craft content strategies that elevate the Tanium brand, engage target audiences, and support broader communications goals. The role requires a creative yet data-driven approach and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The position follows a hybrid schedule with in-office work at Durham, NC at minimum three days per week, plus additional U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a communications, marketing, journalism or related field.
• 2–5 years of B2B tech or enterprise software social media experience.
• Experience with organic social strategies that drive engagement and brand awareness.
• Familiar with social media management and analytics platforms and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across LinkedIn, X, Instagram and YouTube.
• Create, schedule, and publish engaging organic content with internal teams and partners.
• Monitor channels daily and respond to comments to maintain on-brand engagement.
• Analyze performance metrics and report KPIs to optimize content strategy.
• Collaborate with Communications, Demand Gen, Product Marketing, and Design teams.
• Stay current on trends and opportunities to enhance Tanium’s digital presence.
• Develop thought leadership content with internal experts and executives.
• Maintain a social content calendar and ensure cadence aligns with editorial plans.
• Produce LinkedIn Live and clip content for multi-channel distribution.
• Provide on-site real-time coverage at conferences and events.
