Job Title: Social Media Strategist (Contractor – Parental Leave Coverage)
Location: Remote (Atlanta preferred, but not required)
Start Date: July 2025
Contract Length: Approx. 3–4 months

Our client is seeking an experienced Social Media Strategist to join their marketing team on a contract basis, covering a parental leave from August through fall 2025. This is a high-impact role focused exclusively on social media strategy and execution, supporting both brand and performance marketing efforts across the full funnel—from awareness to conversion.
This opportunity is ideal for a social-savvy strategist with a strong editorial eye, platform fluency, and analytical instincts, particularly in engaging 25–34-year-old audiences. You’ll join a collaborative team of brand, editorial, creative, and analytics professionals to amplify the client’s digital footprint (20M+ followers) and drive growth.
Lead and execute platform-specific strategies across social channels (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook).
Translate marketing priorities (e.g., app features, subscription offerings) into compelling social executions.
Collaborate with editorial, creative, PR, and analytics teams to align messaging and amplify cross-functional campaigns.
Monitor and report on social performance; identify trends and adjust strategy in real time using tools like Sprinklr.
Support crisis communications in close coordination with the PR team.
Contribute to a consistent brand voice and strategy across paid and organic content.
Participate in weekly planning and strategy meetings; serve as the primary social lead while the full-time strategist is on leave.
5+ years of hands-on social media strategy experience, ideally for a brand with a large following.
Deep understanding of platform best practices and audience behavior, especially among ages 25–34.
Proven ability to translate brand or product goals into channel-specific social content strategies.
Experience with social listening and reporting tools (Sprinklr strongly preferred).
Comfortable supporting real-time/crisis response when needed.
Strong cross-functional communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Bonus: Experience balancing both creative and analytical workstreams.
Contract begins in July 2025 to allow for onboarding overlap with the current strategist.
This is a seasoned, distributed team with members in Atlanta, New York, Austin, and the UK. While content creation is supported by other teams, this role is essential for strategic oversight and execution.
The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $40.00 to $50.00/hr. Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
