Responsibilities

Primary Duties

Social Media Management

  • Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies across Savannah Toyota's platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other relevant channels.
  • Create and publish engaging text, photography, graphics, and video that reflect Savannah Toyota's values, purpose, products, services, employees, and community involvement.
  • Maintain a consistent posting schedule and ensure content is accurate, timely, customer-focused, and appropriate for each platform.
  • Respond to comments and messages promptly and professionally, escalating customer concerns to the appropriate manager when necessary.

Social Media Content Strategy

  • Create a monthly content plan aligned with holidays, weather, local events, dealership priorities, Toyota marketing initiatives, promotions, and community activities.
  • Maintain a balanced content mix that includes promotions, education, entertainment, employees, customer stories, dealership culture, and community-focused content.
  • Develop platform-specific content based on audience behavior and intent: Facebook to inform and connect, Instagram to inspire and showcase, and TikTok to engage and entertain.
  • Leverage the 22squared monthly content calendar and Pinnacle monthly organic social newsletter for planning and inspiration while adapting ideas to Savannah Toyota's local audience and brand voice.

Community Content & Local Storytelling

  • Regularly go out into the Savannah community to identify and create content featuring local small businesses, nonprofit organizations, schools, community partners, and community events.
  • Develop relationships with local organizations and business owners to uncover stories and opportunities that align with Savannah Toyota's commitment to serving and strengthening the community.
  • Photograph and film community visits, sponsorships, volunteer activities, check presentations, events, partnerships, and other community initiatives.
  • Proactively seek community stories rather than relying solely on assigned events or content requests.
  • Help position Savannah Toyota's social channels as a place that celebrates Savannah and the people and organizations that make the community special, not simply as a place to advertise vehicles.

Event Coverage

  • Attend Savannah Toyota events, promotions, sponsorship activities, and community events to capture high-quality photos and video.
  • Create live or timely social media updates during events when appropriate and develop follow-up content that tells the story of Savannah Toyota's involvement.
  • Occasional nights and weekends are required based on dealership and community event schedules.

Employee & Dealership Content

  • Photograph new employees and staff members for website profiles, internal communications, social media, and other dealership marketing needs.
  • Maintain organized, current staff photography and coordinate updates when employees change positions or departments.
  • Create employee spotlight content that introduces customers to the people behind Savannah Toyota.
  • Regularly capture candid dealership content featuring employees, departments, customer experiences, vehicle deliveries, behind-the-scenes moments, and dealership culture.
  • Help employees who may not be comfortable on camera participate naturally in photos and videos.

Content Creation & Field Work

  • Be comfortable spending significant time away from the desk, throughout the dealership and in the community, capturing content.
  • Photograph and film vehicles, employees, customers, community partners, dealership activities, and special events.
  • Produce short-form vertical video for Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts, including filming, basic editing, captions, audio selection, and publishing.
  • Maintain an organized library of dealership photography, video footage, employee headshots, community content, and reusable brand assets.
  • Identify spontaneous content opportunities and be prepared to create timely content when something worth sharing happens.

Website Review & Brand Accuracy

  • Conduct routine audits of the Savannah Toyota website to identify outdated information, broken links, incorrect offers, inconsistent branding, outdated staff information, and content that needs to be refreshed.
  • Review website content from a customer's perspective and recommend improvements that make information easier to find and understand.
  • Work with the Community Impact Director and appropriate vendors or departments to communicate needed website updates and verify that requested changes have been completed.
  • Ensure messaging across the website and social media channels remains consistent with Savannah Toyota's brand voice, current promotions, programs, and community initiatives.

Marketing & Strategic Planning

  • Participate in marketing meetings, content planning sessions, and strategic planning discussions.
  • Bring social media performance, customer feedback, current trends, community opportunities, and content ideas into marketing discussions.
  • Collaborate with sales, service, parts, rental, finance, and community impact teams to identify upcoming promotions, stories, events, and opportunities for content.
  • Assist in developing monthly and seasonal marketing campaigns and determine how those campaigns should be translated across social media and other digital channels.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations rather than simply waiting for content assignments.
  • Use social media analytics and past campaign performance to help guide future marketing decisions.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze social media performance using relevant analytics tools to track engagement, audience growth, traffic, and conversion metrics.
  • Prepare monthly reports summarizing performance, insights, successful content, opportunities for improvement, and recommendations for strategy adjustments.
  • Use performance data to test and improve content topics, formats, hooks, posting times, and platform strategy.

Brand Guidelines

  • Use a consistent look and feel across platforms, including logos, colors, tone, photography, graphics, and overall style.
  • Tell a clear, consistent story about what differentiates Savannah Toyota and ensure content reflects the dealership's community-first, family-owned approach.
  • Proofread and verify content, pricing, offers, names, dates, and other details before publishing.
