Job summary

The Sage Group in Emeryville, CA is seeking a social media specialist to help build a historic, category-defining consumer brand from its early stages.

You will own community management, craft engaging content across TikTok and Instagram, coordinate creator partnerships, and work with design and copy teams on monthly emails. This is a long-term contract with potential extension.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in a corporate marketing social media role.
• Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram and broader trends.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to work quickly in a fast-moving, trend-driven environment.
• Willingness to travel for shoots, events and brand activations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own or support community management across channels.

The Sage Group’s client, a tech food company who is looking to “make meat right”, has a rare opportunity for a social media specialist to help build a historic, category-defining consumer brand from early stages.

In this role you will own or support the following areas:

• Community management
• Inbound/outbound engagement on social channels and partnership content
• Community management on Reddit and threads
• Monitoring for emergent trends or mentions of brand keywords
• Reporting and analytics
• Assist with putting together monthly reports
• Recognizing trends in social media for the company to engage with
• Email copy and scheduling
• Working in partnership with copy and design team to draft and schedule monthly emails
• Core contributor for content strategy
• Assist with influencer outreach and management
• Focus on coordinating the outreach, contracting, and payments of creator partners
• Broad marketing efforts and support beyond social

Qualifications:

• 3- 5+ years of experience in a corporate marketing social media role
• Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and broader social media trends
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Ability to work quickly and adapt in a fast-moving, trend-driven environment
• Willingness to travel for shoots, events, and brand activations as needed

BONUS Skills:

• Familiarity with paid media management/boosting
• Design skillset (in Canva or Figma) to make social media carousel content
• Comfortable on camera to be another personality in our video content
• Familiarity with video production to assist behind the camera or in post-production

This is a long-term contract with the possibility of extension and/or contract-to-hire
