Position Summary:
We are seeking a creative, driven, and results-oriented Remote Social Media Specialist to join our Marketing and Communications team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our social media strategy to enhance brand awareness, engage our target audiences, build community, and support our overall marketing objectives. This is a fully remote position requiring a self-starter with excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, and a deep understanding of social media platforms and trends.
Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with WeCare Medical Specialty Group's marketing and communication goals, target audience, and brand identity.
Content Creation & Curation: Create engaging and informative content (text, images, videos, stories, live sessions) tailored to various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube). Curate relevant content from credible sources.
Platform Management: Manage and maintain the day-to-day operations of all WeCare Medical Specialty Group's social media channels, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
Audience Engagement & Community Building: Actively engage with followers, respond to inquiries and comments in a timely and professional manner, and foster a positive and interactive online community.
Social Listening & Monitoring: Monitor social media channels for brand mentions, relevant conversations, and industry trends. Analyze sentiment and identify opportunities for engagement and proactive communication.
Social Media Advertising: Plan, execute, and optimize social media advertising campaigns to reach target audiences, increase brand visibility, and drive specific marketing goals.
Performance Analysis & Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on key social media metrics (e.g., engagement, reach, website traffic, lead generation) to evaluate campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Staying Current with Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging best practices.
Collaboration with Internal Teams: Collaborate effectively with marketing, communications, clinical, and administrative teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across all online and offline channels.
Crisis Communication Support: Assist in the development and execution of social media strategies during crisis situations, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.
Compliance & Regulatory Awareness: Ensure all social media activities comply with relevant healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and ethical guidelines.
Content Calendar Management: Develop and maintain a detailed social media content calendar, ensuring timely and organized content发布.
Tool & Technology Proficiency: Utilize social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social), analytics platforms, and design software to efficiently manage and optimize social media activities.
Qualifications:
Work Permit/Citizenship: Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit allowing employment in the United States.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience managing social media for an organization, preferably within the healthcare industry or a related field.
Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge and understanding of various social media platforms, their algorithms, best practices, and target audiences.
Content Creation Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills with the ability to create compelling and engaging content across different formats.
Social Media Advertising Experience: Proven experience in planning, executing, and optimizing paid social media campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret social media data, generate reports, and draw actionable insights.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically online.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
Creativity & Innovation: A creative mindset with the ability to develop fresh and engaging social media content and campaigns.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve social media-related issues and challenges.
Remote Work Capabilities: Must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup suitable for remote work.
Healthcare Industry Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with the healthcare industry, medical terminology, and patient privacy regulations (HIPAA) is a significant plus.
Familiarity with Social Media Management Tools: Experience using social media management and scheduling platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer).
Basic Graphic Design Skills: Familiarity with basic graphic design principles and tools (e.g., Canva) for creating visually appealing social media graphics is a plus.
