Position Summary:

We are seeking a creative, driven, and results-oriented Remote Social Media Specialist to join our Marketing and Communications team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our social media strategy to enhance brand awareness, engage our target audiences, build community, and support our overall marketing objectives. This is a fully remote position requiring a self-starter with excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, and a deep understanding of social media platforms and trends.

Responsibilities:
  1. Social Media Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with WeCare Medical Specialty Group's marketing and communication goals, target audience, and brand identity.
  2. Content Creation & Curation: Create engaging and informative content (text, images, videos, stories, live sessions) tailored to various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube). Curate relevant content from credible sources.
  3. Platform Management: Manage and maintain the day-to-day operations of all WeCare Medical Specialty Group's social media channels, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
  4. Audience Engagement & Community Building: Actively engage with followers, respond to inquiries and comments in a timely and professional manner, and foster a positive and interactive online community.
  5. Social Listening & Monitoring: Monitor social media channels for brand mentions, relevant conversations, and industry trends. Analyze sentiment and identify opportunities for engagement and proactive communication.
  6. Social Media Advertising: Plan, execute, and optimize social media advertising campaigns to reach target audiences, increase brand visibility, and drive specific marketing goals.
  7. Performance Analysis & Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on key social media metrics (e.g., engagement, reach, website traffic, lead generation) to evaluate campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  8. Staying Current with Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging best practices.
  9. Collaboration with Internal Teams: Collaborate effectively with marketing, communications, clinical, and administrative teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across all online and offline channels.
  10. Crisis Communication Support: Assist in the development and execution of social media strategies during crisis situations, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.
  11. Compliance & Regulatory Awareness: Ensure all social media activities comply with relevant healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and ethical guidelines.
  12. Content Calendar Management: Develop and maintain a detailed social media content calendar, ensuring timely and organized content posting.
  13. Tool & Technology Proficiency: Utilize social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social), analytics platforms, and design software to efficiently manage and optimize social media activities.
Qualifications:
  • Work Permit/Citizenship: Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit allowing employment in the United States.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years managing social media for an organization, preferably within healthcare or a related field.
  • Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, algorithms, and target audiences.
  • Content Creation Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Social Media Advertising Experience: Proven experience in planning and optimizing paid social media campaigns.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret social media data and generate reports.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, professional online interaction.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong time management and project management in a remote setting.
  • Creativity & Innovation: Ability to develop engaging social media content and campaigns.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to resolve social media issues and challenges.
  • Remote Work Capabilities: Reliable internet and dedicated home office setup.
  • Healthcare Industry Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with healthcare terminology and HIPAA regulations.
  • Familiarity with Social Media Management Tools: Experience with platforms like Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer.
  • Basic Graphic Design Skills: Knowledge of basic design principles and tools like Canva.
