Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Photography and Video for Social Media at our Phoenix campus for Spring 2027. Courses are in-person, face-to-face, on-campus.

The role focuses on building technical skills for creating visual stories for brands and social channels. The position requires a relevant Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and at least 3 years of industry experience in creating written, visual, photographic, and video content for social media.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Photography, Video, Advertising, Graphic Design, Journalism, Multi-media Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
• Experience in the design, creation, and production of written, visual, photographic and video content for social media distribution.
• Minimum 3 years applicable industry experience.

• Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions while incorporating innovative teaching strategies.
• Engage students in cutting-edge technologies and industry trends.
• Assess student performance and mentor classroom success to prepare them for their chosen career path.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
