This role spans everything we do, from signature events and workplace giving to direct services, volunteerism and two hosted initiatives. Being able to move between audiences, priorities and platforms in a single day is essential.
This role creates content across our full body of work:
The heart of our work. Helping people understand what it takes to get by in Greenville County, told with respect for the people living it.
211, Ride United and VITA. Making sure people know where to turn and how to get help.
Greenville Together and OnTrack Greenville. Each has its own brand, website and audience.
Elevating the nonprofits we fund and the work we do together.
Thanking, informing and inspiring the people who invest in our work, at every giving level.
Workplace giving, employer relationships and corporate volunteerism.

Create platform-native content (short-form video, photography, carousels, stories and live coverage) that people want to watch and share.
Grow reach and engagement by testing new formats, platforms and ideas, and keep what works.
Manage the conversation online with care, good judgment and a consistent voice.
Write across every format: blogs, newsletters, email campaigns, web copy, scripts, captions and print copy.
Find and tell stories from the people we serve, volunteers, donors, employers and the nonprofits we fund.
Translate complex issues like financial stability, housing and education into clear, human language.
Adapt one story for many audiences and channels without losing what makes it matter.
Build two-way conversations with our audiences instead of broadcasting at them.
Bring the voices of the people we serve into our storytelling.
Give and receive specific feedback, and use it to raise the quality of every piece.
Create on-brand graphics, flyers and digital assets in Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
Build and maintain web content in WordPress and Elementor, blogs, landing pages and forms.
Make sure everything we publish works well and looks right on every device.
Manage multiple campaigns at once, from planning and production to launch and recap.
Build and improve the workflows the team uses to take in, prioritize and deliver requests.
Coordinate across departments, vendors and creative contributors to keep work on time and on brand.
Keep files, photos and brand assets organized and easy to find.
Be the go-to problem solver for digital tools, platforms, websites and workflows.
Find the root cause and fix it or route it to the right person. Then document the solution.
Spot recurring problems and recommend better ways of working.
Set goals for our digital channels and track progress against them.
Report regularly on what's working, what isn't and what comes next.
Use data and audience insight to make smarter content decisions.
