Job summary

Tailwind Group in Lawrence, Kansas is seeking a Marketing Assistant to enhance the online presence of The Quarters Lawrence, a garden-style student housing community. You will create engaging photo and video content, manage property social media, and help develop and execute the monthly marketing calendar, while supporting resident events and local outreach.

This part-time role requires 15–20 hours weekly, on-site shifts, and a strong emphasis on community engagement and a positive resident

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One or more years of experience in customer service, sales, or retail preferred.
• University enrollment in marketing/communications or related field preferred.
• Experience with CapCut, Canva, and Adobe Lightroom.
• Ability to present a creative portfolio highlighting prior creative/design and social media experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent customer service with residents, prospects, vendors, officials, and community members; prioritizing others and fighting for their highest possible good.
• Produce high-quality photo and video content to be used for social media marketing and promotional materials.
• Manage and maintain property social media profiles, including regular posting, responding to comments, and fostering community engagement.
• Collaborate with the office staff to provide marketing support for the property’s leasing and resident retention efforts.
• Work with the leasing team to develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure a consistent posting schedule across all platforms.
• Participate and assist with outreach marketing on campus and in the community, and assist with resident events.
• Foster a sense of community among residents by showcasing their experiences through digital marketing content.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and social media best practices to improve our marketing strategies.
• Assist in partnerships with local businesses to expand the property's reach.
• Assist with new leasing efforts and other office operations as directed by management.
