Job description

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER, PART-TIME (REMOTE)

The Collective Studios is more than a fitness studio; it’s a space that inspires greater health, genuine human connection and empowered, personal growth through a collective dedication to sweat and joy. Together, we’re redefining fitness by creating transformative experiences to help our community live well and be well.

At The Collective Studios, we believe movement is more than physical—it’s a catalyst for connection, confidence, and community. We’re seeking a creative, strategic, and trend-savvy Social Media Manager to lead our organic social presence across platforms, tell compelling brand stories, and translate our in-studio magic into shareable digital moments.

This person will own the end-to-end execution of our social strategy—from content planning and production to posting, engagement, and performance tracking. You’ll also manage the Content Production Coordinator by providing clear briefs and creative direction for both onsite content capture and short-form video editing, setting priorities and deadlines, and reviewing footage and edited deliverables to provide feedback, request revisions, and approve final content. If you’re the type who lives on Instagram and TikTok, loves a good brand voice, and knows how to balance creativity with conversion, this role is for you. You’ll collaborate closely with our instructors, events team, and marketing leadership to ensure our channels stay vibrant, on-brand, and aligned with studio goals.

This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the digital presence of one of New Hampshire’s most beloved fitness and wellness communities.

Reports to: Director of Marketing & Content

Employment Status: Part-Time/Non-Exempt

Location: Remote

Hours: Est. 10-15/week

Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and maintain a robust monthly social media calendar across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, aligning with studio campaigns, events, and product launches.

  • Translate brand messaging, studio energy, and client success stories into engaging digital storytelling.

  • Stay ahead of trends, platform updates, and best practices to continuously elevate content and reach.

  • Translate the social media calendar, campaign goals, and studio priorities into clear, actionable content briefs and shot lists for the Content Production Coordinator, including direction for onsite content capture and short-form video editing.

Content Creation
  • Design and execute compelling visual and video content (Carousels, Reels, Stories, and more), using tools like Canva, Edits, InShot, Beatleap, CapCut, or similar.

  • Oversee the production of short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other platforms, from initial briefing and creative direction through review and final approval.

  • Direct onsite content capture from studio classes, events, and other key moments through the Content Production Coordinator.

  • Review submitted footage and video edits, provide clear and actionable feedback, and request revisions as needed to ensure final content is on-brand, platform-appropriate, and aligned with campaign goals.

  • Draft social media copy that reflects our brand voice—motivating, playful, inclusive, and informative.

Community Engagement
  • Actively engage with our digital audience: respond to comments, DMs, tags, and questions with warmth and timeliness.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with local influencers, ambassadors, and brand partners.

  • Monitor and nurture community sentiment, escalating concerns when needed.

Performance & Optimization
  • Track and report weekly/monthly performance analytics, including reach, engagement, follower growth, website clicks, and conversion-related KPIs.

  • Use data to iterate and improve strategy, content, and posting cadence.

  • Identify growth opportunities and recommend creative experiments that drive visibility, community growth, or sales.

  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience in marketing/communications or social media marketing

  • Strong copywriting skills with a clear understanding of voice, tone, and engagement principles.

  • Exceptional command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation, ensuring all written communications are professional, error-free, and reflect positively on the brand.

  • Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g. Canva, InShot, CapCut, Later, Meta Business Suite).

  • Familiarity with reporting tools and native platform analytics.

  • Strong sense of visual style, timing, and platform best practices.
