Job description

The Social Media Manager supports day-to-day social media execution for Yokohama Tire across Brand, Product Marketing, Motorsports, enthusiast and community initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Social Media Manager, this role brings Yokohama’s social presence to life through content creation, community engagement, asset sourcing, publishing, event coverage and proactive identification of social opportunities.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands social media and genuinely understands automotive culture. The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between enthusiast content, product storytelling, motorsports and broader brand initiatives, with an instinct for identifying the people, moments and stories that will resonate with automotive audiences.

The Social Media Manager will work within established social strategy and content direction while being expected to contribute ideas of their own. Whether identifying a relevant trend, discovering an untapped story within existing assets, recognizing an opportunity during a race weekend or finding a piece of content that belongs on Yokohama’s channels, this person should be curious, proactive and comfortable bringing recommendations forward.

This role will also require regular travel to motorsports events, automotive activations, production shoots and other brand opportunities. The Social Media Manager should be comfortable capturing social-first content in fast-paced environments and will progressively develop the knowledge and judgment necessary to represent the social team independently at select events.

Charts+Darts operates in a hybrid environment for this account. This position requires in-person work at Yokohama Tire’s Santa Ana, CA office two days per week, in addition to event travel as needed.

Candidates interested in this role must include a portfolio of work that demonstrates both concept-driven thinking and hands-on making, ideally including work that explores AI or emerging creative tools.
