Job summary

Sonilo, an AI model company building music and sound effects for video, is seeking a Social Media Manager. This full-time, hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area will own our X strategy and extend to Instagram and TikTok.

You will collaborate with creators, work with video production partners, and analyze engagement data to shape future content. Travel for in-person events may be limited.

Qualifications

• Must have grown an X account with measurable results.
• Ability to analyze performance data to inform content decisions.
• Strong copywriting and storytelling for social formats.
• Experience with Instagram and TikTok content formats.

Responsibilities

• Own X content strategy including posts, threads, replies, and Spaces.
• Identify trends in tech and creative AI and provide insights.
• Build relationships with creators in creative AI.
• Coordinate with video agencies; brief, review, and give feedback.
• Create quick in-house motion graphics when faster.
• Analyze weekly metrics and apply learnings to content.
• Manage Instagram and TikTok planning, posting, and engagement.
• Support LinkedIn with copy and publishing as needed.
• Attend in-person events to capture content and post updates.
• Limited travel may be required.

Sonilo is an AI model company building music and sound effects for video. We've raised $11 million in seed funding and are planning to raise a Series A soon.

We're looking for a Social Media Manager to lead our social channels, with X as the top priority. You'll own our X presence, manage Instagram and TikTok, and support LinkedIn as needed. It's a good time to join if you want to shape Sonilo's voice, build relationships in creative AI, and see your ideas become part of how the company grows.

This is a full-time, hybrid role in the San Francisco Bay Area.

What you'll do

• Own our X strategy end to end: posts, threads, replies, and Spaces. X will be your main focus for content, community engagement, and growth.
• Spot trends early, follow the conversations happening across tech and creative AI, and jump in with a sharp take.
• Build relationships with creators and accounts in creative AI through regular conversations and collaborations.
• Work with our video production agencies: brief them, review their cuts, and give clear, specific feedback so each video works for its intended channel.
• Make quick edits and simple motion graphics in-house when it's faster than going through an agency.
• Dig into the analytics every week to figure out why posts worked or didn't, then turn those lessons into the next round of content.
• Manage Instagram and TikTok content, including planning, publishing, and community engagement. Adapt ideas to each channel's audience and format rather than simply reposting the same content everywhere.
• Support LinkedIn with copy, content, and publishing as needed.
• Attend in-person events to capture content and post live updates across our social channels. Limited travel may be required.

• Understand Instagram and TikTok, and can turn an idea into short-form content that fits each channel.
• Can give constructive creative critique and explain what to change and why.
• Write short, punchy copy that people want to share.
• Know the tech industry conversation and the people driving it.
• Move fast, test a lot, and aren't afraid of a post that flops.
