Job summary

Hook, a social music platform in New York, seeks a Social Media Lead to own the brand voice across platforms and manage complex workstreams with agencies, creators, and artists. You’ll craft content strategy, direct copy, and lead campaigns that drive engagement and growth.

You’ll also oversee community management, plan product-launch campaigns, and report on KPI performance to guide future investments and creative direction.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in social media with both strategy and execution.
• Exceptional copywriter with a distinctive voice across platforms.
• Deep fluency in music and internet culture; understands fandoms driving engagement.
• Proven experience managing influencer/creator programs and external agencies including budgets.
• Experience running community management: DMs, comments, fan moments, and judgment to engage appropriately.
• Strong project management across multiple workstreams with internal teams, agencies, and partners.
• Comfort with analytics; read platform data and tie social to business outcomes.
• Ability to mentor junior talent and develop a growing social team.

Responsibilities

• Own Hook's social content strategy end to end and build an editorial calendar around cultural moments and music moments.
• Write sharp, culturally fluent copy for TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
• Lead influencer and creator strategy from scouting to management and campaigns that maximize growth.
• Drive artist and label partnerships for social campaigns and moments.
• Manage external agencies for content creation and media buys, with briefs and reviews.
• Support influencer campaigns with budget planning and performance reporting.
• Oversee community management and social listening; mentor the social coordinator.
• Plan and run integrated campaigns around product launches and marketing beats.
• Define success via KPIs and reporting; adjust strategy based on data.
• Provide strong creative direction and ensure Hook's voice remains distinctive.
