Job summary

The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery (OMB) is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to own our digital presence across Instagram, Facebook, and other channels. This entry-level role puts you in charge of how our brand shows up online every day, across two LoSo locations and a future Mount Holly site.

You’ll create content, manage channels, update our site, and tell OMB’s authentic story with consistency and flair, driving people through the door.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience managing social media accounts for a brand, business, or organization.
• Demonstrated ability to create quality short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, or equivalent).
• Strong writing skills with brand voice.
• Working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, scheduling and analytics tools.
• Comfortable with basic photo and video editing tools.
• Self-directed and organized, able to manage a content calendar and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work across multiple Charlotte locations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, create, and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
• Develop and maintain a weekly content calendar (5–7 posts per week).
• Shoot and edit short-form video on location.
• Oversee paid campaigns and maintain local search visibility.
• Write captions in a warm, brand-consistent voice.
• Monitor comments and DMs; respond in a timely, on-brand manner.
• Build and manage a user-generated content program.
• Track performance and report monthly to leadership.
• Stay current with platform changes and best practices.
• Maintain OMB’s website content and ensure cross-channel consistency.
• Collaborate with kitchen, taproom, events teams and external partners.
