Job summary

Illinois Farm Bureau is seeking a Social Media Intern to help develop and execute content across platforms, writing, editing and scheduling posts that align with our priorities. You’ll gain hands-on experience in communications, planning and monitoring, while collaborating with experienced leaders at our organization.

You’ll work on graphics, photography and short-form video, using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite and scheduling tools, to engage audiences and support agricultural outreach.

Qualifications

• Strong writing, editing and communication skills.
• Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).
• Organized, dependable, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience creating social media content (graphics, photography, short-form video).
• Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or social media scheduling platforms.
• Interest in agriculture, rural communities or nonprofit communications.

Responsibilities

• Supports IFB communications and social media efforts by developing and executing content for right audiences, platforms and messages.
• Create, write, edit and schedule social media content aligned with IFB priorities and brand standards.
• Assist with social media planning, monitoring and other communications projects.
