America's second oldest horse racing track, the Fair Grounds has been a New Orleans staple since 1852. We are a premiere entertainment venue presenting thoroughbred & exotic animal races, slots, video poker and simulcasting year-round. Located in New Orleans, Fair Grounds operates a slot-machine gaming facility and 13 off-track betting parlors throughout southeast Louisiana.
The Social Media Intern will assist the Marketing Department during the live racing meet by creating engaging digital content that showcases the excitement of racing, gaming, events, and guest experiences at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots.
Must be 21 years or older. Must be able to obtain a Louisiana State Racing License.
High school diploma and must have a bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a college degree. Familiarity with Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and short-form video content required. Basic knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar editing tools, and the ability to work in a fast-paced entertainment while meeting deadlines. Must possess a s trong interest in social media, digital marketing, sports, entertainment, or content creation. Experience with photography, videography, and editing using mobile devices and/or editing software preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable interacting with guests, animals, and conducting interviews. Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and live racing/event schedules as needed. Must be able to work in various environments throughout the property, including the slot floor and barn area.
