Job description

SUMMARY:

We are looking for a dedicated, "can-doer" type to join the social media team of our multi-platform arts and social impact collective, ARRAY. ARRAY is passionate about amplifying content centered on dynamic social justice themes created by Black artists, people of color and women of all kinds. Our Social Media Intern will support all departments to develop and manage campaigns and assets across the ARRAY brand. If you are familiar with the term "elbow grease" and know how to apply that to a work environment, then ARRAY might be the place for you.

  • Help with the creation and organization of social assets.
  • Support tracking and activation of created content and related social media collateral and press materials.
  • Help with researching social media trends, techniques and opportunities.
  • Help draft social media copy and community outreach emails.
  • Assist with strategy brainstorms and critical thinking sessions to generate and execute social ideas.
  • Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school with experience and/or coursework in Marketing, Communications, Film, a combination of these areas or similar fields.
  • This internship must be eligible for academic credit.
  • A desire to grow in the entertainment social media space.
  • Exceptionally savvy with the front end and back end technology of all social media and social interaction technology platforms.
  • Eager to learn and be proactive with new tasks and share opinions and ideas.
  • Good understanding of the latest trends and techniques.
  • Ability to manage many administrative tasks at once and take initiative to organize incoming data, documents, emails, and sensitive information.
  • Graphic design skills related to social media assets are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail is a must.
  • Working proficiency in Canva and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) preferred.
