Job summary

Hearst Newspapers is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to join the advertising operations social media team in Houston. You will fulfill sponsored post requests, write copy, adjust visuals, secure approvals, and publish across publisher profiles, while managing boosting budgets and reporting results.

You will support agency clients with copy, assets, and audience setup, and may moderate several publisher accounts by reviewing comments and posting content daily.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, communications, advertising, or related field.
• 1 year of proven social media content creation and paid campaigns.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work with editorial teams.
• Experience posting on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn; Twitter a plus.
• Ability to do light design (Canva).
• Self-starter and quick to execute, brainstorm, and communicate with clients and sellers.
• Content marketing and SEO writing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill advertiser content requests from start to finish.
