Job summary

SUNY Bronx Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) seeks a Social Media Coordinator to support multimedia communications and digital content for its programs and events.

The role involves creating photography, video, graphics, and online content; managing social channels; attending campus and community events to capture material; and updating the website and promotional materials. A Bachelor's degree is required; two years of social media experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years of experience with social media platforms.
• Proficiency with Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Basic understanding of ecommerce and website operations.
• Ability to learn new software systems and digital tools.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong computer skills and experience creating or supporting social content.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to develop multimedia concepts and content that communicate SUNY Bronx EOC’s programs, services, events, initiatives, and key messages.
• Create and coordinate multimedia content utilizing photography, video, graphics, audio, social media, and web technologies.
• Manage and update SUNY Bronx EOC’s social media platforms with timely, accurate, and engaging content.
• Attend outreach activities, campus events, workshops, and community events to capture photographs, videos, and other multimedia content.
• Coordinate pre-production, production, and post-production activities for multimedia projects.
• Design, edit, format, and upload multimedia content to social media platforms, websites, and other digital platforms.
• Assist with maintaining and updating website content, including announcements and event information.
• Collaborate with departments to gather information, photographs, videos, and other materials for digital communications.
• Assist with developing promotional and marketing materials for programs, events, outreach, and engagement initiatives.
• Maintain organized archives of photographs, videos, graphics, social media content, marketing materials, and other digital assets.
• Maintain project documentation, content calendars, and other records.
• Monitor social media engagement and identify opportunities to improve outreach.
• Stay current with social media platforms, multimedia technologies, and best practices.
