  • Manage and update SUNY Bronx EOC’s social media platforms with timely, accurate, and engaging content.
  • Attend outreach activities, campus events, workshops, and community events to capture photographs, videos, and other multimedia content.
  • Coordinate pre-production, production, and post-production activities for multimedia projects.
  • Design, edit, format, and upload multimedia content to social media platforms, websites, and other digital platforms.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating website content, including announcements and event information.
  • Collaborate with departments to gather information, photographs, videos, and other materials for digital communications.
  • Assist with developing promotional and marketing materials for programs, events, outreach, and engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain organized archives of photographs, videos, graphics, social media content, marketing materials, and other digital assets.
  • Maintain project documentation, content calendars, and other records.
  • Monitor social media engagement and identify opportunities to improve outreach.
  • Stay current with social media platforms, multimedia technologies, and best practices.

EOC Social Media Coordinator
POSITION DETAILS

SUNY Bronx Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) is seeking a motivated, creative, and detail-oriented Social Media Coordinator to support the creation and maintenance of multimedia communications and digital content. The Social Media Coordinator will assist in developing engaging photography, video, web, and social media content that communicates the Center’s programs, services, events, and accomplishments.

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, an understanding of social media and digital communications, and the ability to collaborate with internal departments and external partners to develop content that effectively communicates key messages.

Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to develop multimedia concepts and content that communicate SUNY Bronx EOC’s programs, services, events, initiatives, and key messages.
  • Create and coordinate multimedia content utilizing various formats, including photography, video, graphics, audio, social media, and web technologies.
  • Manage and update SUNY Bronx EOC’s social media platforms with timely, accurate, and engaging content.
  • Attend outreach activities, campus events, workshops, and community events to capture photographs, videos, and other multimedia content for digital communications and social media.
  • Coordinate pre-production, production, and post-production activities for multimedia projects, including planning, content collection, editing, and final preparation.
  • Design, edit, format, and upload multimedia content to social media platforms, websites, and other internal and external digital platforms.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating website content, including announcements, event information, photographs, videos, and other digital materials.
  • Collaborate with departments to gather information, photographs, videos, and other materials needed for digital communications and promotional activities.
  • Assist with developing promotional and marketing materials for programs, events, recruitment, outreach, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain organized archives of photographs, videos, graphics, social media content, marketing materials, and other digital assets.
  • Maintain project documentation, content calendars, and other records related to multimedia and digital communications projects.
  • Monitor social media engagement and assist with identifying opportunities to improve digital outreach and audience engagement.
  • Stay current with social media platforms, multimedia technologies, digital communication trends, and best practices.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of experience working with social media platforms.

Proficiency with social media platforms, including Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Basic understanding of e-commerce and website operations.

Ability to learn and effectively use new software systems, online tools, and digital platforms.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

Strong computer skills required.

Experience creating, managing, or supporting social media content and platforms.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary range $58,862-$64,587; commensurate with qualifications and experience.
