Job summary

Babel Institute, Inc. is seeking a Social Media Coordinator for a paid, part-time remote internship to expand our digital presence and launch Verity Voices.

You will create and publish content across Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, and Facebook, develop a regular posting schedule, track analytics, and collaborate with program directors, fellows, and contributors to highlight research and events. This role is ideal for students in communications, public policy, or related fields.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student enrolled at an accredited college or university in the United States.
• Prior experience managing social media accounts or creating digital content.
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt messaging for different social media platforms and audiences.
• Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar design platforms.
• Experience creating or editing short-form video content.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly.
• Interest in public policy, global affairs, education, youth development, nonprofit work, or social impact is preferred.

Position Overview

We are looking to expand our communications and digital presence as we prepare to launch Verity Voices, our journal and publication platform. The Social Media Coordinator will help develop and publish content across Babel Institute’s social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, and Facebook. The coordinator will work with program directors, fellows, and contributors to promote research publications, programs, events, announcements, and other initiatives.

The role is designed for students interested in pursuing careers in communications, digital media, public policy, journalism, or related fields.

This is a paid, part-time internship for the Fall 2026 semester.

Compensation

This is a paid internship compensated at $20 per hour.

Time Commitment

The Social Media Coordinator should expect to dedicate approximately 10 to 15 hours per week to the role. Work will be completed remotely on a flexible schedule.
