Job summary

The Plaza Assisted Living is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to tell the story of our communities across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube. Part‑time or open to Independent Contractor, with travel between Plaza communities on Oahu.

You will manage content calendars, draft copy, support HR to promote openings, and monitor channels while protecting resident privacy. Proficiency in CapCut, Canva, Meta Business Suite and Hootsuite is required.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of hands-on brand social media management.
• Proficiency in CapCut, Canva, and scheduling platforms.
• Current TB clearance, CPR/First Aid certification, and valid driver’s license.

• Platform Management: Plan and manage monthly content calendars; monitor channels daily and respond professionally while protecting privacy.

• Recruitment & Marketing Support: Highlight culture and openings; assist events and marketing initiatives.
• Analytics: Track engagement, reach and growth; adapt strategies to maximize impact.

About the Role

The Plaza Assisted Living is seeking a creative and energetic Social Media Coordinator to bring the story of our communities to life! You will produce, schedule, and manage engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube to showcase our vibrant resident lifestyle, highlight our team members, and drive brand awareness across Oahu.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation: Travel regularly to our Oahu communities to capture high-quality photos and short-form video (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) featuring residents, staff, and events onsite at The Plaza communities. Needs to be available for events.

Platform Management: Plan and manage monthly content calendars; monitor channels daily, responding professionally to comments and messages while maintaining resident privacy (HIPAA).

Copywriting: Draft engaging, warm, and accurate post copy tailored to families, referral partners, and job seekers.

Recruitment & Marketing Support: Partner with HR to highlight company culture and job openings, assist with community events, and support marketing initiatives as needed.

Analytics: Track monthly performance metrics (engagement, reach, growth) and adapt strategies to maximize reach.

Qualifications

Education & Experience: associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience) + 1–3 years of hands-on brand social media management.

Technical Skills: Proficient in mobile photography, short-form video editing (CapCut, Canva, etc.), and scheduling platforms (Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, etc.).

Certifications & Compliance: Current TB clearance, CPR/First Aid certification, and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Preferred: Experience in healthcare, senior living, or hospitality; familiarity with local Hawaii culture and HIPAA guidelines.

Standard schedule with flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends.

Island-wide travel across Oahu communities. Needs to be on-site for pictures and videos.

Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs. during events/photoshoots.
