Job summary

The Overlook Climbing is seeking a part-time Social Media & Content Creator to capture and translate the gym’s culture into engaging content. You’ll manage the content calendar, shoot and edit photos/videos, and write copy that reflects the brand voice—energetic, inclusive, and authentic.

You’ll also support marketing efforts, design collateral in Canva, and help with events, campaigns, and audience growth. This role offers room to grow within a dynamic climbing community.

Qualifications

• Active climber with understanding of gym culture and community.
• Proven ability to manage social media and create engaging content.
• Experience shooting, editing, and publishing photo/video content.
• Portfolio or examples of social media/work for brands or orgs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a consistent content calendar across Instagram and Facebook.
• Shoot, edit, and publish original photo and video content — gym culture, movement, events, community moments.
• Write captions, stories, and copy reflecting The Overlook’s voice: energetic, inclusive, authentic.
• Create and manage reels and short-form video content to grow reach.
• Engage with followers via comments, DMs, and tagged content.
• Support email and SMS campaigns with graphics, copy, visuals.
• Design digital and print collateral using Canva or similar tools.
• Assist with event marketing and maintain brand consistency across digital touchpoints.
• Track performance metrics and share insights.
