Carpet Tech is seeking a Social Media Content Creator in Lubbock to capture and share people, work, and services behind Carpet Tech and Bug Tech. You will join technicians on jobs, produce photos and videos, and turn content into social posts tailored to customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Join technicians at job sites to photograph and film services, capturing before-and-after content and stories.
• Select homes, jobs, and services offering the best content opportunities in coordination with the team.
• Appear on camera and interview technicians/customers naturally.
• Edit videos using TikTok/Instagram editors or other tools; create brand-consistent graphics.
• Use AI as a design aid with training, maintaining brand consistency.
• Write captions, plan content, and schedule posts across Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Google Business Profiles.
• Monitor messages, flag questions needing help, and respond as directed.
• Support seasonal campaigns and events; assist planning/directing shoots with contractor videographer.

About the role

Carpet Tech is seeking a Social Media Content Creator to capture and share the people, work, and

services behind Carpet Tech and Bug Tech. You will join technicians on jobs, create photos and

videos, and turn that content into social posts that connect our services with customers' needs.

We are open to creators at different experience levels. We value creative vision, initiative, and a

strong willingness to learn. You will work closely with the Director of Marketing, who provides

direction, feedback, and final approval.

What you will do

• Join technicians at job sites to photograph and film services, capture useful before-and-after content, and identify stories worth sharing.
• Learn to select the homes, jobs, and services that offer the best content opportunities, coordinating with technicians and the marketing team.
• Appear on camera and interview technicians and customers in a natural, approachable way.
• Edit videos using tools such as the TikTok or Instagram editors or other editing software, and create graphics that match each brand's existing social style.
• Learn to use AI as a design aid, with training and guidance, while maintaining brand consistency and accurate service messaging.
• Write captions, plan content, and schedule approved posts across Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Google Business Profiles.
• Monitor social messages and comments, flag questions that need help, and respond as directed.
• Support seasonal campaigns and occasional company or community relations events. Bring ideas for larger productions and assist with planning and directing shoots alongside our contract videographer.

Goals for your first 90 days

With training and direction, you will work toward being able to:

• Confidently attend job sites with technicians and capture quality photos and video.
• Recommend which jobs and services to cover based on content needs and marketing priorities.
• Use AI and editing tools confidently to create graphics that match our established social media style.
• Understand Carpet Tech and Bug Tech services and recommend timely content based on seasonality and customer needs.
• Take ownership of content planning and execution, contribute original ideas, and help develop larger video projects with the Director of Marketing and contract videographer.

Equipment and support

We provide a work phone, camera, microphone, computer, editing software, and other tools needed for the role. You will receive guidance on our brands and services, training in AI-assisted design, and ongoing creative feedback.

Location and travel

This position requires a Lubbock-based creator who can regularly attend local job sites and occasionally cover company and community relations events. Travel outside Lubbock is expected to be minimal. Hybrid flexibility may be available around in-person content needs.
