Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a social media strategy aligned with organizational goals and campaign initiatives.
• Manage and grow the organization’s presence on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
• Create, curate, and schedule engaging content that reflects our voice and values.
• Monitor conversations, respond to comments and messages in a timely and respectful manner, and foster a positive community environment.
• Track and analyze performance metrics and social insights to refine strategies and report on key outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal teams (programs, fundraising, advocacy) to promote events, campaigns, and initiatives.
• Stay up to date on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing social media platforms and online communities, preferably in a nonprofit, advocacy, or mission-driven setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in using social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite).
• Ability to develop content for different audiences and platforms, including graphics, video, and live events.
• Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and a passion for storytelling.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with nonprofit communications, fundraising, or advocacy is a plus.

Compensation

• Hourly Pay will be commensurate with experience.
