Position Summary
This client is a mission-centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization relentlessly pursuing cancer cures.
The Contractor, Social Media Campaigns, supports the execution and coordination of social media initiatives that drive awareness, engagement, participation, and revenue-generating opportunities across the company's priority campaigns and fundraising programs. This role plays an important operational function within the Social Media team, helping manage content workflows, stakeholder reviews, campaign activations, reporting, and social media deliverables.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Social Media, this position works closely with Campaign Marketing, Mission, Development, Regional, Communications, and Social Media stakeholders to support campaign planning and execution across the company social channels. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about social media, with a strong understanding of platform best practices, project coordination, and content development.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing social media campaigns to life through collaboration, organization, and execution while contributing to mission visibility, audience engagement, and fundraising success.
Core Responsibilities / Primary Duties
Campaign Social Media Coordination & Execution
Primary Duty 1: Campaign Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate social media deliverables for key campaign moments, activations, fundraising initiatives, and awareness opportunities.
- Serve as a day-to-day liaison between the Social Media team and campaign stakeholders, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and review processes remain on track.
- Manage stakeholder feedback, approvals, content revisions, and workflow routing through approved project management platforms.
- Communicate timeline adjustments and proactively identify potential risks to campaign delivery.
Primary Duty 2: Content Development & Quality Assurance
- Draft, edit, and refine social media copy and campaign assets while ensuring alignment with organizational messaging, brand voice, and campaign objectives.
- Support content planning and execution across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Threads, Bluesky, YouTube, and emerging social platforms.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of campaign social calendars, messaging guidance, and stakeholder communications.
- Review content for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established social media standards.
Primary Duty 3: Stakeholder & Campaign Support
- Support campaign teams by managing social media requests, toolkit development, organizing stakeholder reviews, approval workflows, and campaign communication needs while ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables remain on track.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure campaign social activations align with broader organizational priorities and marketing initiatives.
- Provide administrative and coordination support for campaign launches, milestone activations, and key awareness moments.
Primary Duty 4: Reporting & Social Insights Support
- Support the collection and organization of social media performance data using Sprout Social and platform analytics tools.
- Assist with recurring reporting, performance summaries, and campaign recaps.
- Monitor social media trends, platform developments, and audience engagement patterns to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Partner with the Social Media team to ensure reporting insights help inform future content and campaign decisions.
Primary Duty 5: Community & Engagement Support
- Support community management efforts across campaign-related social channels by monitoring audience engagement and escalating inquiries when appropriate.
- Assist with identifying audience questions, emerging trends, and engagement opportunities.
- Help ensure positive, timely, and brand-aligned interactions across social platforms.
- 1-3 years of experience in social media coordination, content creation, marketing support, communications, or project coordination.
- Experience supporting social media campaigns, content planning, or digital marketing initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Familiarity with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Threads, Bluesky, and YouTube.
- Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, editing, and proofreading abilities.
- Experience utilizing social media management platforms such as Sprout Social or similar tools.

- Familiarity with project management and collaboration platforms such as WorkZone, Trello, Canva, or similar systems.
- Understanding of social media analytics, reporting, and performance measurement.
- Familiarity with social search optimization, platform discoverability, and evolving social media best practices.
- Comfort utilizing AI-powered tools to support content development, workflow efficiency, research, and campaign execution.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Curiosity about emerging social media trends, platform updates, and audience behavior.
Additional Considerations
- This is a six-month contract position supporting priority social media campaigns and organizational initiatives.
