Job Overview
We're seeking an experienced Social Media & Athlete Relations Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for elevating our brand presence across digital platforms, managing our athlete program, and supporting marketing initiatives through compelling content creation and strategic communication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT
- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement during and off-season.
- Create and publish engaging content across all social channels.
- Monitor performance metrics and optimize strategies accordingly.
- Stay updated with emerging social media trends and platform developments.
- Manage daily interactions and foster community engagement.
- Identify and explore new social channels to establish our presence.
- CONTENT CREATION
- Coordinate and plan photo/video shoots for marketing campaigns and social content.
- Organize and maintain our digital asset library.
- Produce compelling visual content for blogs, social posts, and marketing materials.
- Collaborate with designers and marketing team to ensure brand consistency.
- ATHLETE AND FUTURES PROGRAM
- Establish and nurture relationships with athletes and future athletes.
- Oversee athlete contracts, deliverables, and program expectations.
- Facilitate athlete content creation and amplify their brand stories.
- Organize athlete appearances and participation in brand events.
- MARKETING SUPPORT
- Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns, product launches, and programs.
- Coordinate and execute events like promotional activities and social meetups.
- Manage customer inquiries via social channels, working with support teams for timely responses.
- Support office tasks such as mounting, waxing, packaging, and shipping products as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills & Experience
- 2-3 years of social media management experience in the ski/outdoor industry.
- Proven success in growing social media following and engagement.
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects.
- Experience with major social media platforms.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Content creation experience, including photography and video editing.
- Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools.
- Proficiency with content management and scheduling platforms.
- Passion for skiing and outdoor sports.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the outdoor sports space, particularly skiing.
- Background in athlete or influencer relationship management.
- Familiarity with Adobe, Canva, Sprout Social.
- Event planning experience.
- Understanding of the snow-sports/outdoor brand landscape.
Locations
This position is remote; candidates should reside in Salt Lake City, UT, the greater Colorado Rockies region, Burlington, VT, or the New England region.
