Job summary

Fairmont State University is seeking a Social Media Assistant to support the Communications, Marketing, and Creative Services staff. You will attend events on and off campus to provide social media coverage, archive content, and engage with platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok using tools like Hootsuite, Canva and CapCut.

You will host and help produce the Falcon Flyby, our campus weekly show, and contribute to influencer marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with the social media platforms used by Fairmont State University.
• Interest in learning more marketing and social media.
• Good communication and writing skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time well.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to express ideas creatively.
• Ability to edit, revise, and reflect on content created for social.
