Job summary

Chemical Guys is seeking a Social Media Assistant in Torrance, CA to energize and grow our online presence. You’ll help film, edit, and publish short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, and assist in live sessions while cultivating an authentic brand voice.

You’ll collaborate with videographers and editors on tutorials and demos, stay ahead of trends, and engage with our community through comments and DMs. A passion for car culture is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of social media experience (TikTok and Instagram required; YouTube a plus).
• Comfortable contributing to and appearing in on-camera content (TikTok Live, tutorials, or demos).
• Skilled in basic filming and editing (iPhone proficiency required; CapCut or Adobe Premiere a plus).
• Creative, curious, and eager to keep up with trends.
• Organized, reliable, and able to support a fast-moving team.
• Interest in car culture and lifestyle (a plus but not required if you're ready to learn).

Responsibilities

• Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions and help bring creative concepts to life.
• Work with videographers and editors on YouTube tutorials, demos, and series.
• Help Host & Moderate Live Content
• Participate in TikTok Live sessions, supporting product showcases and engaging with audiences in real time.
• Build confidence as an on-camera personality for live streams, tutorials, and demos.
• Community Engagement
• Respond to non-customer-service comments and DMs, keeping our community engaged and connected.
• Support the team in maintaining a fun, approachable brand voice across platforms.
• Trend Research & Execution
• Track trending sounds, challenges, memes, and cultural moments on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
• Share insights with the team and help adapt content to stay current and relatable.
• Publishing & Analytics Support
• Assist with scheduling and publishing posts according to the content calendar.
• Help track performance metrics and provide input on how content can improve.

Compensation & Benefits

• $20 - $25/hour (non-exempt)
