Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a passionate Social Impact & Community Relations Intern to build relationships with local communities and advance our clinical and social responsibility initiatives. The role offers hands-on project experience in program development, stakeholder engagement, event planning, and impact reporting.

You will help plan outreach events, support partnerships with nonprofits and schools, and track social impact metrics while gaining mentorship from experienced leaders.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment with junior or senior status at a regional accredited college or university.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing community outreach programs and volunteer events.
• Support partnerships with local nonprofits, schools, and civic organizations.
• Help track and report on social impact metrics and outcomes.
• Contribute to internal and external communications related to select initiatives.
• Conduct research on social issues, community needs, and best practices.
• Assist with grant applications, sponsorship requests, and donation tracking.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for new initiatives.
• Gain experience in community engagement and CSR strategy.
