Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Social Impact & Community Relations Intern to support outreach, partnerships, and reporting with local communities. This remote internship offers hands-on experience in program development, stakeholder engagement, and impact reporting.

You will gain exposure to grant processes, sponsorship requests, and CSR initiatives while working with mentors from experienced leaders at Advocate Health.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
• Junior or senior standing.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
• Proficiency with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning community outreach programs and events.
• Support partnerships with local nonprofits, schools, and civic organizations.
• Track and report social impact metrics.
• Contribute to internal and external communications for initiatives.
• Research social issues and community needs.
• Assist with grant applications, sponsorship requests, and donation tracking.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas.
• Develop event planning and stakeholder communication skills.
• Understand the role of businesses in driving social change.
• Build professional relationships and receive mentorship from experienced leaders.
• Contribute to initiatives that make a real difference in the community.
