Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a passionate Social Impact & Community Relations Intern to help build meaningful relationships with local communities and advance our organizational, clinical, and social responsibility efforts. The internship provides hands-on experience in program development, stakeholder engagement, event planning, and impact reporting.

Major responsibilities include planning outreach programs, supporting nonprofit partnerships, and tracking social impact metrics.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or related field with junior or senior standing.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing community outreach programs and volunteer events.
• Support partnerships with local nonprofits, schools, and civic organizations.
• Help track and report on social impact metrics and outcomes.
• Contribute to internal and external communications related to select initiatives.
• Conduct research on social issues, community needs, and best practices.
• Assist with grant applications, sponsorship requests, and donation tracking.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for new initiatives.
• Gain experience in community engagement and CSR strategy.
