Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Hawaii Job Corps Center in Makawao, HI, seeking an experienced administrator to oversee career counselors, recreation coordination, and residential living management in line with government and company directives.

You will hire, train, and coach staff; establish training programs on safety, security, residential living, and recreation; and audit operations for contractual compliance, delivering high-quality services to students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of related experience, two (2) years of supervisor experience preferred.
• Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency required.
• Flexibility with work schedule is a must.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage the administrative and programmatic activities of the department.
• Hire, train, and coach staff within the department.
• Establish, and implement training programs for employees and students regarding safety & security, residential living, and recreation departments.
• Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.
• Direct program changes; evaluate programs for new students and staff.
• Ensure records for the shift and dormitories are maintained up to date. Monitor timeliness and quality of student case note entries in CIS.
