Job summary

The City of Warrensburg Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a part-time Social Dance Instructor to lead a 5-week class on Thursdays from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, running Sept 10 through Oct 8, teaching popular dances such as Two Step, Waltz, Swing, and Salsa.

Ideal candidates are highly organized, energetic, self-motivated, and able to adapt to patrons’ needs and abilities, working independently under supervision of the Parks & Recreation Supervisor of Programs & Events.

Qualifications

• Must be a highly organized, energetic, self-motivated teacher with enthusiasm and ability to adapt to patrons’ needs and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach a 5-week Social Dance class on Thursdays from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm (Sept 10 to Oct 8), covering Two Step, Waltz, Swing, and Salsa.
• Work independently under general supervision of Parks & Recreation Supervisor of Programs & Events.

The City of Warrensburg’s Parks & Recreation Department is accepting applications for part-time Social Dance Instructors. This position is performed in a 5-week class held on Thursdays from 6:30 pm- 7:30 pm starting September 10th and ending October 8th, teaching four popular dances such as Two Step, Waltz, Swing, and Salsa. Must be a highly organized, high-energy teacher with self-motivation and enthusiasm, with an ability to adapt to patrons’ needs and abilities. Works independently at a skilled level under the general supervision of the Parks and Recreation Supervisor of Programs & Events.
