JOB SUMMARY

The Social Media Coordinator is where curiosity meets execution.

This is an entry-level role built for someone who understands that social moves fast and wants to learn how great brands move with it.

You’ll be immersed in the day-to-day world of social media: helping publish content, track performance, spot trends, monitor conversations, support creators, and bring social-first ideas to life. You’ll work alongside Strategy, Creative, Account teams, learning how an idea moves from insight to execution to something people actually see, share and respond to.

This role isn’t about watching social from the sidelines. It’s about learning by doing.

You’re curious about why certain content works. You notice what people are talking about before someone has to point it out. You care about the details, because you understand that a broken link, missed trend, wrong caption or overlooked insight can make the difference between work that lands and work that doesn’t.

At Inspire, execution is the only strategy a consumer ever sees. The Social Media Coordinator helps make sure that execution is thoughtful, timely and built for the platforms where culture is happening.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Keep Social Moving:Support the day-to-day execution of social programs across multiple client accounts, helping ensure work stays organized, accurate and on schedule.
  • Publish With Precision:Schedule, publish and quality-check content across platforms, making sure every post is optimized, accurate and aligned with brand standards.
  • Stay Close to Culture:Monitor social platforms, emerging trends, cultural conversations, platform updates and new content formats to help identify what matters now.
  • Listen to the Audience:Support community management, social listening and audience research to uncover conversations, behaviors and opportunities for engagement.
  • Turn Performance Into Learning:Assist with monthly, quarterly and campaign reporting by pulling data, organizing results and identifying initial takeaways that help the team understand what worked and why.
  • Support Creator Work:Help identify, research, vet and coordinate creators and influencers while assisting with campaign tracking and reporting.
  • Bring Content to Life:Support social-first productions and content capture through pre-production coordination, on-set assistance and other executional needs.
  • Collaborate Across the Agency:Work closely with Social, Strategy, Creative and Account teams to help develop ideas and ensure content is built for the platform, not simply placed there.
  • Build the Work Behind the Work:Maintain calendars, trackers, workbooks, presentations, meeting notes and other materials that keep teams aligned and projects moving.
  • Learn by Doing:Participate in brainstorms, reviews, client meetings and share-outs, building your communication, strategic thinking and presentation skills over time.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
  • Someone who genuinely loves social media, advertising and culture, not just using the platforms, but understanding how they work.
  • A curious person who asks questions, looks for answers and wants to understand the “why” behind the work.
  • Someone who notices the details and takes pride in getting them right.
  • A proactive problem-solver who doesn’t wait to be told every next step.
  • A strong communicator who can keep teammates informed and work effectively across disciplines.
  • Someone comfortable moving between creative thinking and analytical thinking.
  • A collaborative teammate who welcomes feedback and gets better because of it.
  • Someone eager to grow, not just into a stronger social practitioner, but into a stronger marketer.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Internship or hands-on experience within an advertising agency, social media team, in-house marketing organization or similar environment preferred.
  • Strong familiarity with major social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.
  • Comfortable working within Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
  • Exposure to social publishing, listening, analytics or reporting tools is a plus.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to stay organized while managing multiple assignments and changing priorities in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Interest in social performance, consumer behavior, cultural trends and what makes content effective.
  • Working proficiency in written and spoken Spanish preferred.
GROWTH EXPECTATIONS
  • Builds strong executional fundamentals across social publishing, reporting, community management and content development.
  • Develops a deeper understanding of how organic, paid and creator strategies work together.
  • Learns to move beyond reporting what happened toward understanding why it happened.
  • Builds confidence contributing ideas in brainstorms, internal meetings and eventually client conversations.
  • Develops strong judgment around what is culturally relevant, brand appropriate and platform native.
  • Takes increasing ownership of assignments as experience and confidence grow.
  • Seeks feedback, applies it quickly and demonstrates measurable growth over time.
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
  • Social is where brands show up every day.
  • It’s where culture moves quickly, consumers respond immediately and brands earn or lose attention one interaction at a time.
  • The Social Media Coordinator helps make sure Inspire is listening closely, executing thoughtfully and constantly learning from what happens next.
  • This role may be early in the career journey, but it sits close to the work consumers actually experience. And at Inspire, we believe great ideas can come from anyone, regardless of title or tenure. What matters is curiosity, craft and the willingness to make the work better.
