About This Role

Cambium is growing fast—and we’re looking for a Social & Brand Content Manager to help us show up in the world with clarity, creativity, and consistency.

You’ll partner with our CEO and VP of Marketing to bring the Cambium story to life—highlighting the people, places, and projects that make our work possible. From founder storytelling and partnerships to sawmill visits and job site moments, you’ll create standout content for social, events, awards, and more.

It’s a hands-on role for a sharp, creative storyteller who’s excited to capture and share what makes Cambium unique.

You’re a creative with strong instincts, a sharp eye, and a genuine curiosity about the world around you. You know how to spot a story and turn it into content that feels clear, compelling, and true to the brand.

You care about making things that are thoughtful, well-executed, and grounded in real stories. You're excited to help shape how Cambium shows up in the world and to grow alongside the team.

What You’ll Do Here

  • Own the social calendar: Manage Cambium’s day-to-day publishing across platforms (especially LinkedIn and Instagram), keeping content consistent, timely, and on-brand.
  • Draft founder content: Work closely with our CEO to develop, refine, write, and implement content, and help shape company thought leadership.
  • Capture content in the field: Attend events, site visits, and supply-side trips to gather photo & video content and social-ready stories.
  • Drive visibility: Track and submit relevant awards, speaking opportunities, and strategic brand moments.
  • Maintain our content library: Organize, tag, and maintain Cambium’s growing archive of photo and video assets for use across teams.
  • Support PR coordination: Help manage external visibility efforts, including launches and key announcements, in collaboration with PR partners as needed.

Your Skill Sets And Capabilities Include

You’re early in your career but already bring a strong creative foundation and a clear eye for what makes content resonate. You’ve worked across platforms, collaborated with teams, and know how to take a story from idea to execution. You’re organized, self-directed, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.

  • Experience: 2-3 years in social media, brand content, or creative execution roles
  • Writing: Strong ability to match and adapt brand voice across platforms
  • Content Capture: Skilled at shooting and editing lightweight photo/video content (phone or DSLR)
  • Tools: Fluent in Canva, CapCut, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms
  • Collaboration: Confident working cross-functionally and managing multiple content streams
  • Execution: Comfortable owning a social calendar and reporting on content performance

The Details

  • Reports to: VP of Marketing
  • Location: San Francisco, CA – Hybrid (3x/week in-office minimum)
  • Salary Range: $70,000-$115,000, commensurate with experience. Equity and/or performance-based bonus may be included.
