Job summary

The YMCA of Orange County is seeking a part-time Soccer Instructor to join our youth development programs in Mission Viejo. You will help create a safe, engaging environment for children ages 3 to 15 while promoting inclusive play.

Responsibilities include facilitating registration and check-in, officiating games when assigned, and maintaining fields and equipment. First Aid and CPR certifications are provided and paid for by the YMCA.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Experience playing or coaching soccer required or preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and planning skills.
• Must be able to work with children ages 3 to 15 years old.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, prepare, and maintain sports fields and equipment for safety and enjoyment.
• Guide participants through registration and check-in, manage program paperwork and communications.
• Officiate games and maintain scoring when assigned.
• Foster inclusion, address concerns, and build a welcoming environment for all participants.
• Engage with families to answer questions and enhance participant experience.

Additional opportunities to assist with other sports-related activities and tasks may also be available.Purpose and Impact:Ensure Facility Readiness:Inspect, prepare, and maintain sports fields and equipment to create a safe, organized, and enjoyable environment for all participants.Facilitate Participant Experience:Guide participants through registration and check-in, manage program paperwork, and deliver clear communication of program details.
