Napa Valley Unified School District seeks a Boys Frosh Soccer Head Coach for Napa High School. You will lead the program, guiding student‑athletes through a November–February season with off‑season activities expected.

Must have high school coaching experience and complete required First Aid/CPR and NFHS certifications. Collaboration with staff, booster club, and families is essential to support student growth and sportsmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching the sport and working with student-athletes at the high school level.
• Must obtain First Aid/CPR, NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest, NFHS Concussion in Sports and NFHS Heat and Illness prevention, plus district documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Boys Frosh soccer program as head coach.
• Collaborate with NHS staff, student‑athletes, parents, administration and Booster Club.
• Ensure safety, sportsmanship and adherence to district policies and NFHS guidelines.

Requirements / Qualifications

Soccer Boys Frosh Head Coach Position is currently being offered at Napa High School. Candidates should be experienced in the sport, have coaching experience and a resume of working with student-athletes at the high school level. Applicants will be required to obtain First Aid/CPR, NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest, NFHS Concussion in Sports and NFHS Heat and Illness prevention, as well as all other Napa Valley Unified School District Human Resources required documents. The season begins in November and runs through February, however some off-season activities are expected. The Frosh Head coach receives a booster stipend at the end of the season.

Must be willing and able to work with our NHS staff, student-athletes, parents, administration, and NHS Athletic Booster Club.

Must have basic knowledge of the following:

• Character-building aspects of sports, including techniques and methods teaching and reinforcing the core values comprising sportsmanship and good character;
• Knowledge of physical capacities and limitations of the age group coached;
• Coaching principles related to educational philosophy, adolescent psychology, nutrition, risk management, and the rules and strategies of the sport.
