WRA, Inc. seeks a Southern California Natural Resources Director, a principal-level leader partnering with the Executive Committee to guide staff, clients, and projects across the region in line with WRA’s Strategic Plan.

The role emphasizes growing the Southern California business through proactive development and high-level project delivery, with oversight of restoration, mitigation, and permitting work and senior guidance to local teams. This hybrid/remote position travels regionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, ecology, environmental science, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience leading client relationships and project teams.
• Senior technical oversight on restoration, mitigation, wetlands, or permitting projects.
• Proven ability to win new work and grow the client base in environmental consulting.
• Experience with business planning, development, and strategic plan execution.
• Experience with complex project management and staff development.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Expand Southern California market through new and existing client relationships.
• Provide senior technical oversight on restoration, mitigation, and permitting projects.
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of cross-functional projects.
• Mentor and manage Southern California staff; promote engagement and collaboration.
• Support staffing and professional development in the Southern California region.
