Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a Logistics Operations Manager for an office-based role in Ontario, California. You will oversee end-to-end logistics across warehouses, inland trucking, drayage, cross-border transportation, container handling, and last-mile delivery in the Greater Los Angeles area.

This role emphasizes cost management, SOP improvements, and vendor performance while ensuring compliance and effective cross-border operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Hands-on logistics/SCM experience in the United States.
• Experience with warehouses, trucking, drayage, freight forwarding, or last-mile delivery.
• Familiarity with SoCal drayage, Port of LA/Long Beach, and Inland Empire network preferred.
• Strong cost management, transportation planning, and operational efficiency skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and logistics systems (WMS/TMS).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily logistics operations across warehouses, trucking, drayage, cross-border transport, and last-mile delivery.
• Develop and optimize transportation schedules and routes to improve service levels.
• Monitor costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvements.
• Manage third-party logistics vendors including trucking, warehouse operators, and brokers.
• Conduct vendor performance reviews and contract coordination.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and overseas management."
• Prepare operational reports on shipments, warehouse performance, and costs.
• Lead peak-season planning and implement corrective actions.
