Job summary

Doeren Mayhew, Troy MI, seeks an Associate SOC 1/SOC 2 Specialist to join our IT Advisory and Security Group. You will perform walkthroughs, testing, evidence collection, and report preparation for SOC engagements, while supporting wider IT audit and advisory projects.

The ideal candidate has hands-on SOC experience, strong teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple engagements to meet deadlines. Some travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• CISA, CISM, CPA, CISSP or similar certification preferred.
• 1–2 years IT audit or SOC-related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of SOC 1 reporting requirements and Trust Services Criteria.

Responsibilities

• Executes SOC 1 and SOC 2 engagements including walkthroughs, control testing, and report preparation.
• Assists with IT audit and advisory engagements, identifying risks and controls and drafting findings.
• Prepares accurate workpapers and supports engagement team on deadlines and budgets.
• Collaborates with team members and mentors junior staff as appropriate.
