Job summary

Doeren Mayhew CPAs and Advisors seeks an Associate, SOC 1/SOC 2 Specialist to join our IT Advisory and Security Group in the Troy, MI office. The role focuses on SOC engagements, control testing, evidence evaluation and reporting, with opportunities to contribute to IT audits, cybersecurity assessments and framework consulting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Finance, Business or related field required.
• CISA, CISM, CPA, CISSP or similar certification preferred or in progress.
• 1-2 years IT audit, SOC, information security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executes and assists with SOC 1 and SOC 2 engagements, including walkthroughs and testing.
• Assists with IT audit and advisory engagements, identifying risks and controls.
• Prepares workpapers in line with firm methodology and standards.
• Manages engagement responsibilities to meet deadlines and budget.
• Collaborates with engagement team for efficient client service.
• Assists with training and supporting newer Associates and Interns.
