Job summary

Apple Inc. seeks a Software Engineer - SoC Level Validation Engineer in San Diego, CA to help design and validate next-generation silicon. You will craft tests, debug pre- and post-silicon issues, and develop a system-level software platform for validation.

Collaborating with designers and architects, you’ll tackle micro-architecture topics, memory hierarchy, interrupts, and power gating to ensure robust SoC bring-up across Apple’s devices.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or PhD in EE or CS.
• SOC and CPU knowledge with micro-architecture, memory hierarchy.
• Experience with interrupts, DMA, clock and power gating.
• System-level understanding and SoC bring-up experience.
• C/C++ and Assembly programming.
• Knowledge of hardware and software debugging tools.
• Embedded programming with HW-SW interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop SoC and CPU directed and random tests.
• Debug issues pre-silicon or post-silicon.
• Develop and maintain system-level software platform.
• Work with designers and architects to accomplish validation goals.
