Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer - SoC Level Validation Engineer to design and validate next‑gen processors. You will write directed and random tests for SoC/CPU, debug issues across pre- and post-silicon stages, and develop a system-level SW platform.

You’ll lead validation plans and collaborate with designers to meet product goals. You will work with cross‑functional teams at Apple to craft robust validation strategies, ensuring high quality across complex hardware/software

Qualifications

• BS in EE or CS with 10+ years of experience.
• Embedded programming experience.
• Knowledge of hardware and software debugging tools.
• Experience with SoC bringup.

Responsibilities

• Write SoC and CPU directed and random tests.
• Debug issues pre-silicon or post-silicon.
• Develop and maintain system-level SW platform.
• Lead SW development and execution plans of SoC projects.
• Work with designers and architects to accomplish validation goals.

You’ll ensure Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions. Minimum Qualifications

• BS in EE or CS + 10 years of experience
• Embedded programming experience

Preferred Qualifications

• SOC and CPU knowledge; consider the following: Micro-architecture, Memory hierarchy, Interrupt and DMA, Clock and Power Gating, System level understanding, & Experience with SoC bringup
• C/C++ and Assembly language programmer
• Knowledge of Hardware and Software debug tools and methods
• Experience with scopes
