Job summary

JLL in Chicago is seeking a Manager of SOC Reporting to lead SSAE-18 SOC 1 and SOC 2 engagements, coordinating with external auditors and internal control owners to ensure timely, accurate reports and strong client trust.

This strategic role combines project leadership with staff development, driving audit efficiency across business units and shaping SOC administration methodologies, controls testing, and advisory services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field with 5-7 years of progressive experience.
• In-depth understanding of SOC 1 and SOC 2, SSAE-18, control testing methodologies, and evidence requirements.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and stakeholder relationships with attention to detail in oversight, quality assurance, and risk management.
• Proven leadership and team management skills with experience supervising and developing professional staff.
• Executive-level communication skills for effectively interacting with senior leadership and external auditors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, esp. Excel, and document management systems.
• Knowledge of professional standards, ethics, and regulatory requirements in audit environments.

Responsibilities

• Managing a comprehensive portfolio of concurrent SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit engagements from strategic planning through final report issuance.
• Coordinating audit activities by scheduling engagements, tracking evidence, and distributing questions to appropriate teams.
• Leading and developing your audit staff through assignments, evaluations, and training.
• Serving as liaison between external auditors and internal stakeholders through status calls and issue resolution.
• Providing expert consultation on audit requirements and control descriptions to control owners.
• Conducting annual planning meetings with external auditors to review scope and timing.
• Driving continuous process improvement and leading technology initiatives for audits.
